So, how can you really make sure that you are making the right choice in choosing your CRM?
Plus, asking on forums DOES NOT help you. You will get 100 opinions on what they think is right. How do you know they even use CRM properly? Maybe they say "I use xxxx, it is the best". Yet, it doesn't sync properly. They have never used any campaigns, they only put their contacts there in a separate database. Is that really using it or set up properly? OWN YOUR OWN DATA - Yes, your brokerage might entice you to use theirs, but think about the future and you want to leave(Yes, I know ....you will never leave lol but I can guarantee you that life happens and you MAY leave) .....do they allow you to export all the data? All drips, all contacts, all deals? Probably not, so why not start off on the right foot, using a CRM where you will always own your own data, regardless of which brokerage you are with!
PRICE– it’s always a factor in selecting the right CRM. Go for the ones that offer the best bang for your buck.
When Agents say I use this CRM or this website because it is FREE when I am with xxxx brokerage. IT IS NOT FREE. It is included in your fees and, more than likely, you will hear me say it again. Who owns the data?
SUPPORT– I cannot stress this enough. Support matters! How long does it take for them to get back to you? Is support outsourced?
SYNC - Does it sync with your contacts/calendar/email?– This is probably one of the most important things you should always look for in a CRM. Your CRM's ability to sync with your contacts /calendar is huge.
Imagine only updating your CRM and updating your contact records on your phone happens magically? (No, not with some separate app!) And Vice Versa!
Or add a calendar entry on your CRM and it magically appears on your device’s calendar? And Vice Versa!
Technology is amazing and your CRM should do this. No more updating multiple databases! One update does it all.
DRIP CAMPAIGNS – Imagine having the ability to communicate with your past and potential clients using an automated approach? Drip Campaigns are awesome and allow you to seamlessly reach out to your clients – ask them how it is going, send an email during their house anniversaries, or even have a task to remind you to call them on their anniversary or send them a card on their birthday. ASK THE VENDOR:
Does your CRM do a two-way sync on contacts and calendar?
Does your CRM sync with labels/categories?
Does your CRM allow me to merge duplicates?
Does your CRM allow me to export all my deals?
and if it does, how are you going to get it into your own CRM?
Does your CRM allow me to export all my contacts and calendar?
These are key. If they say yes, then you will want our help to make sure your devices are all set up to work properly with a great CRM.
